About this Class

Since 2020, there have been more than 82.4 million people displaced around the world. With the Refugees Welcome: Refuge Canada Speaker Series, we invite you to listen and learn more about the Global Refugee Crisis. We encourage you to become a part of the conversation. The Speaker Series is a three-part virtual series designed to educate the community on the Global Refugee Crisis. Session 3: Live Question and Answer How can a group of people or an organization privately sponsor a refugee family? How can you help refugees locally? Join this session to hear more about sponsorship firsthand. This event will also feature a panel of community professionals who work directly with refugees. They will be available to answer your questions and share information about ways you can help refugees at a local level. Sessions are online and may end before 9 pm. There is no cost to the event, but we encourage people attending to make a donation to an organization that supports refugees.
