Enjoy exclusive access to the museum after closing as you explore the exhibition at your own pace. This relaxed, drop-in style event allows guests to come and go anytime during the two-hour program, making it easy to browse the galleries, meet fellow bee enthusiasts, and participate in activities whenever you choose. At 7:00 p.m., local beekeeper Andrew McCann, owner of Generations Apiary, will lead a guided honey tasting featuring a selection of locally produced honeys. Discover how different flowers, seasons, and the bees' foraging habits influence the colours, aromas, and flavours of honey while learning more about the fascinating world of beekeeping. Before and after the formal tasting, Andrew will be available to chat, answer questions, and share his expertise with visitors throughout the evening. He will also be bringing a live observation hive, offering a rare opportunity to see honeybees at work up close and learn about the inner workings of a thriving colony in a safe, interactive setting. Guests are also invited to contribute to a collaborative community art project by painting wooden bee boxes generously provided by Andrew. Once complete, these one-of-a-kind boxes will return to the apiary to house the very bees that produced the honey featured during the tasting—creating a lasting connection between the evening's creativity, community, and conservation.
