About this Class

Dive into discovery with Water Warriors: Water Testing, a hands-on program for curious kids aged 4–7! Led by special guest Natasha Darling, a Mohawk paddle boarder from Tyendinaga, participants will explore water through both science and Indigenous knowledge. Natasha, who runs a paddleboard company that connects people to Mohawk culture through water, will guide young learners as they collect and test water samples from Lake Ontario. Alongside interacting with real scientific tools, kids will enjoy a water-themed story that highlights our shared responsibility to care for this vital resource. After the session, help us celebrate the end of our early years summer programming! Join Natasha and Melissa Brant—a Mohawk artist and member of the Mohawks of the Bay of Quinte, intuitive creator, life coach, and joyful storyteller—for a special extended experience where you’ll help create a collaborative paddle board mural to be displayed in the museum. Plus, enjoy a variety of fun water themed activity stations for all to explore. If you’ve signed up for this Water Warriors session and plan to stay for the celebration, there’s no need to register again—this is your ticket in! Get ready to test, create, and connect through water!
